Paper and Other Substrates: Blazing Editions offers a selection of the best papers and canvases for giclée printing. All our papers are acid free, neutral pH, and are of archival quality, and are selected for optimum manufacturing and print performance.

Longevity: The fact that Giclées are now included in the world's most prestigious museums is proof of their lasting quality. All artist's mediums are susceptible to light, and will fade when exposed to constant light over long periods of time. We use a dye set that has shown through research to be the best balance between a wide color space with the longest fade resistance. We continually monitor results of independent lab tests on paper and inks suitable for giclée printing. We can supply you with longevity information on most substrates when used with our dye set.

Substrate Profiles: Blazing Editions has analyzed performance characteristics on all on house papers and materials using our proprietary color management system. We then create customized "profiles" for optimum reproduction, no matter which substrate you choose. Do you have a favorite material. We can paint, in addition to our house sheets, on a variety of canvases, silks, adhesive back roll stock, wood veneer, and specialty papers. Blazing Editions reviews a variety of substrates for use with giclée printing and can consult with artists on finding and printing on any available materials. Some additional costs are to be expected in profiling a new substrate but there is often a immediate payback from the uniqueness of the edition. We inform you first if such charges will apply.
