We offer proofing for each piece that we print. Proofing allows us to match the best color to the original piece of art. For fine line color reproduction, it is a requirement that each piece gets “proofed”.  Each substrate, ink, machine combination is unique and thus every image needs to be adjusted for printing on canvas.

We run actual “press proofs” of your piece on the machine and substrate we are going to print the production run on. The proofs are approximately "10x12" mini prints of the final piece. We then judge them in a color-controlled environment. We will adjust the color of the piece until we think it is good enough to submit to the artist or decision maker. 

One of the things that differentiate us amongst printmakers is our exact color matching ability. Proofing is where the “Rubber Meets the Road” in printmaking which is why we average between 5 to 20 hours of labor on any one image.

All artists should have all their important work photographed and archived prior to selling it. Once we have your file, we can store it for you for later reproductions. There is also the ability to license an image. Once the original work is sold the new owner while not having the rights to reproduce the piece does not have to lend it back to he artist so that it can be photographed. We therefore advise all artists to have any work of any signifigance to have photographed and archived. Once this is done the piece can be sold and the image can be used many years down the line as an image in a retrospective coffee table book, or as a limited edition being sold at a Solo Show.      

All your data is archived and stored in-house. Our file servers back-up automatically at night for active jobs and a hard copy DVD is stored both here at our location. Another hard copy is stored off–site to insure that your data never is lost in the event of fire or flood, or if the DVD it is stored on fails, which occasionally happens. Most printmakers lack this level of sophistication. You will never have to worry when you work with us.
