"11:11 LISTENING TO CHANGE"

TRICIA CAPELLO & JENNA KUIPER

EXPLORING THE INTROSPECTIVE

From January 11- February 23, 2019 be sure to visit the Richard Levy Gallery in the viewing of, "11:11 Listening to Change." Blazing Editions is proud to have aided in producing artist Tricia Capello's metal prints for this mesmerizing array of contemplative imagery. In this show, Capello delves deep into the human mind's conscious, enabling one to contemplate aspects of time, space, and the idea of silent answers. By capturing moments which, "Blur the lines between perception and illusion," writes Capello, "Their complex silence affords a heightened, contemplative awareness to go beyond the limits of the analytical mind while witnessing the everyday world around us." It is as if Capello captures these 'moments' at the right exact place and time, where the friction of reality rubs against ideas of illusion. There is a tasteful and independent quirk to each photograph, inspiring aspects of narrative, psyche, and perception to fuse as one.
Capello is the first recipient of the John Chervinsky Emerging Photographer Scholarship, which includes a solo exhibition at the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, MA. She has exhibited work at AREA Gallery in Boston, Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Tilt Shift Gallery in Scottsdale AZ, and the Southeast Center for Photography in Greenville, SC. She lives and works in Newbury, MA.

"Meditation and tuning deeply into myself and the multi-dimensional universe are a core part of my artistic practice. Picking up my camera is one small part of this brilliant and often intense energetic process and exchange."  --Capello
